Malinao Town Fiesta

Program CoverThe Malinao Municipal and Devotional Town Fiesta held last April 29 to May 1, 2002 was in keeping with its historical and cultural heritage, a typical Filipino lifestyle for festivities which has been kept alive as people anticipate its coming with high hopes and bright spirits. It is a celebration for a good harvest, a homecoming of a townsfolk and recognition of talents and accomplishments of local citizens. This joint annual undertaking of the Municipal Government and the Church is to give honor to God and our devotion to our Patron Saint Joseph the Worker as well as a tribute to our town, inspired by the heroes of the "El Levantamiento de los 82 de Lilo-an" and the heroes of World War II who have shaped the generation of heroes and leaders of Malinao, further serving as our inspiration and motivating force in our efforts to maintain peace and prosperity in the face of difficulties.

Our past bears heavily on our present as well as our future. Let us not forget that we are the heirs of that history which has brought forth the gains of a better life among our people.

Altogether, let us stand with our vision, "One Community, One People, Towards a Shared Vision of PROSPERITY IN MALINAO."
