Joji Ilio belongs to a new breed of leaders who are abreast with the changing times. He was educated at the University of the Philippines and has imbibed its tradition of excellence and nationalism. He had been a student leader and a community leader as well.
His education and work experience prepared him well for the position of town mayor of Malinao. He vows to continue the outstanding and well-loved administration of former Mayor Rosie I. Iguban.
Joji comes from a family of educators. His mother, Clotilde Yerro, was a public school teacher who for a long time taught at Cabayugan Primary School. His father, Dominador Ilio, is an engineer, a writer, a poet and a U.P. professor. His brother, Kenneth, is a researcher and professor at Columbia College Chicago. His other borther, Dennis, is an engineer and works as a computer analyst at Morgan Stanley in New York, USA.
Joji is married to former Miss Malinao, Fatima Amie Imperial Dajay. They have five children, namely, Christian, Lara, Lani, Lisa and Jon Dominador III.
