Last June 17, 2004 the Municipality of Malinao conducted a seminar on Ecological Solid Waste Management at the Municipal Conference Hall. This seminar was attended by heads of offices, barangay officials and school heads. The main speaker was Heherson Alvarez of the DENR Provincial Office, a namesake of the Senator and former head of DENR Heherson Alvarez.
